Oglala Lakota Nation – Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota.

Challenged to pray for God’s leading in where He would have me serve, we were led to the Oglala Lakota Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

Following His path, we reached out to the Lakota people of Pine Ridge and began palletizing and shipping nonperishable food contributions. Depending on contents, typical food shipments vary from 1,000 – 1,200 lbs. Along with buffalo meat provided by the OST, the food that we have been able to contribute has been distributed through OSPRA to families suffering the loss of a loved one, to prepare a funeral meal in their honor.

From there, our mission has grown to assist homeless communities and the general needs of tribal members with food and winter clothing support.

Many are active in community organizations, church groups, school projects, and a variety of programs supporting others. If you feel truly blessed and are already contributing to a cause of helping in another’s need, I praise you.
