Description

Oglala Lakota Pine Ridge Reservation, Pronghorn Harem.

Pronghorn antelope are native to South Dakota, with a population estimated at around 50,000—most of them found west of the Missouri River. They thrive on expansive grasslands, where grazing provides a reliable food source and the open terrain offers a critical advantage: visibility. Their eyesight ranks among the sharpest in the animal kingdom, enabling them to spot potential threats from miles away.

Known as North America’s fastest land animal, pronghorn have earned the nickname “speed goats,” capable of reaching speeds exceeding 60 mph. With miles of rolling prairie at their disposal and the ability to maintain highway-like speeds, any predator attempting to stalk pronghorn faces a huge challenge.

We’re thrilled to share more of these adventures – experiences that have inspired us, strengthened our faith, and shown us the awe-inspiring beauty of the world around us.

Our hope is that these journeys will inspire and uplift you, and maybe even spark a few adventures of your own!
