During the 1930s–1950s, local Grand Cayman fishermen would anchor in the shallow waters of North Sound to clean their catch before heading back to shore. The discarded fish scraps quickly attracted wild Southern Stingrays, which soon learned that boats meant an easy meal. Over time, stingrays of all sizes began gathering regularly in the area.
Today, this spot is known as Stingray City. Its waist-deep sandbar allows visitors to interact with, swim alongside, and even hand-feed fresh squid to these incredible rays. Local islanders proudly share a long-standing tradition: kissing a stingray is said to bring seven years of good luck.
Stingray City has since become one of the most famous marine experiences in the Caribbean and remains the top attraction in the Cayman Islands.
We’re thrilled to share more of these adventures – experiences that have inspired us, strengthened our faith, and shown us the awe-inspiring beauty of the world around us.
Our hope is that these journeys will inspire and uplift you, and maybe even spark a few adventures of your own!
