Completed in 1941 under the direction of Gutzon Borglum, the granite face of Mount Rushmore proudly stands as a striking achievement in American sculpture. Overlooking the rugged beauty of the Black Hills, it showcases the carefully carved faces of four U.S. presidents – George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln – rendered with extraordinary precision and likeness. Impressive in every season and especially captivating when illuminated at night, we feel Mount Rushmore at its most beautiful when lightly covered in fresh, pristine snow.
Now, in this season of retirement, we’ve been blessed with something especially precious… time. Time to explore, to reflect, and to journey to places we often dream about. With this gift of opportunity, we’ve taken some truly incredible trips and experienced breathtaking corners of His creation.
