Stampede.

Finding the words to describe the incredible beauty of Alberta’s Banff National Park is a big task – for sure!  Lake Louise and Moraine Lake have earned their place as Canada’s most photographed destinations, and standing at their shores makes it crystal clear – Yes, pun intended!

Their rich glacial turquoise color is unmatched, but experiencing these Canadian jewels at sunrise is an incredible must-see gift.  As the sun rises, a narrow window of just a few minutes offers a beautiful orange glow to the surrounding mountaintops and is magically reflected on the water.  During a previous trip, we took in this incredible sight at Lake Louise, and were now treated to the same at Moraine Lake. The beauty of these glorious sunrises is truly something we will never forget.

This trip also included the Super Bowl of rodeo – The Calgary Stampede.  Stampede is a high-octane event filled with world-class, professional rodeo riders from near and far, concerts, incredible food, and a colorful Native pow-wow at the Elbow River Camp!

From there, we traveled deep into British Columbia, where the most awe-inspiring views are shared in every direction.  Snow-covered mountains feed raging turquoise rivers, and wildflowers offer postcard views that stretch to the horizon, making British Columbia seem surreal.  Experiencing this incredible region is something we highly recommend!

It’s exciting to share more of these adventures with you – experiences that have inspired us, strengthened our faith, and reminded us just how incredible the world around us really is.

We hope these stories encourage you, lift your spirits, and maybe even inspire you to set off on a few adventures of your own.
